The next Chelsea player to tell us about their first visit to America ahead of our pre-season tour this summer is Armando Broja, who will be enjoying the United States for the second time in his life this summer...

'My first time in America was actually pre-season last year, I’d never been but always wanted to go. It’s a really interesting place. We didn’t go for long, but I remember going to LA and Las Vegas. It was really good to go out there and experience something different.

'It was a very hot place, it’s crazy there during the summer, very humid and there wasn’t much air. But it was really nice to experience a different environment. Since I hadn’t been to America before it was a really good experience to be out there.

'We had one day off when we went to LA and I just went around, saw loads of different shops and stuff. I didn’t really know all the places to go, but just went around with a few of the boys, did a bit of shopping and just had a look around.

'Then we went out to Universal Studios and looked around where they film all the movies. It was really cool, you could see all the props they use for plane crashes and things, all the cars from Fast and Furious, the Scooby Doo van and stuff like that. It was actually a very cool experience and I definitely want to do it again.

'It felt like I was an actor in a movie. I remember we went past one set and it was a cabin from a horror movie and there was an actor just standing there with a prop knife looking at us, which was a bit creepy. It was pretty cool and I wish we had more time to go around and see everything, but it was a good day out.

'I want to go back and explore America quite a bit, because I’d always wanted to go. I quite like the country itself, there’s really nice different places to go. I want to go to Miami, New York and a lot of other places. Because it’s so big you can experience a lot of different things in different places, so I’d like to go there with my family away from football too.'
