With the Blues off to Brighton on Tuesday, we bring you all the facts and figures you need to know ahead of the game...

With five Premier League games to play, Chelsea are currently sixth and one of three teams on 48 points. We are seven points behind Liverpool in fifth and 10 behind fourth-placed Aston Villa.

Brighton, in ninth position, are on 47 points.

Head-to-head

Our last victory at the Amex Stadium was in May 2024 when we won 2-1 with goals from Cole Palmer and Christopher Nkunku.

Brighton are looking to win four consecutive games in all competitions against Chelsea for the first time.

Chelsea are looking to prevent the Seagulls from completing a league double against us for the second time, following on from the 2022/23 campaign.

In the reverse fixture at Stamford Bridge in September, two stoppage-time goals by Danny Welbeck and Maxim De Cuyper secured a 3-1 win for Brighton after Enzo Fernandez opened the scoring in the first half. Trevoh Chalobah was sent off (53 minutes) for denying an obvious goalscoring opportunity when we were winning 1-0.

Since the start of the 2022/23 season, Brighton have scored two or more goals in six of their seven league games against Chelsea, netting 17 times in total (2.4 per game).

Of the 27 matches in all competitions between the clubs, Chelsea have only failed to score in two of them – 0-0 in April 2021 at Stamford Bridge and 0-3 at the Amex last season.
