Chelsea can confirm Brooke Aspin has joined Bristol City on a permanent transfer.

The centre-back came through the Bristol City youth programme and signed for Chelsea shortly after her 18th birthday ahead of the 2023/24 season.

Aspin was immediately loaned back to the Robins and made 20 appearances during the campaign, playing 90 per cent of the available minutes.

That summer, she represented England at the Under-19 European Championship as the Young Lionesses reached the semi-finals, captaining the side in two matches.

Following that tournament, Aspin returned to Chelsea and was sent on a further loan to Crystal Palace. Unfortunately, that spell was cut short when she suffered an anterior cruciate ligament injury while with England Under-23s in November 2024.

Now back to fitness, Aspin will return to Bristol City on a permanent basis.

Everyone at Chelsea would like to thank Brooke, and we wish her well during the next chapter of her career.
