Moises Caicedo won’t underestimate the challenges posed by Napoli and their supporters in our final league phase fixture of the Champions League tomorrow night.

After making certain of a place in the knockout stages last time out against Pafos, the Blues have eyes on securing a Round of 16 spot in Naples – and Caicedo and his team-mates have their full focus on just that.

The midfielder can also appreciate the occasion, with Chelsea set to walk out at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona for only the second time. And although Caicedo expects a fierce atmosphere from Napoli’s supporters inside the 54,000-seater, he believes the squad are ready.

‘It’s going to be a tough game for sure because Napoli will have their fans,’ he said during his pre-match press conference.

‘It will be an incredible game, and we are excited to play these kinds of games. We have a great opponent in Napoli. For sure, it will be tough, but we will do so well because we have prepared in the best way to win this game.’

Comparing it to the atmospheres that the 24-year-old has played in before, Moises knows the challenge that tomorrow's will pose.

He continued: ‘As a footballer, I played in different atmospheres. This will be a very tough one, but also incredible because it’s Napoli away and it’s Italy.

‘We will expect their support from the stands. It will be a very good game, and we are prepared for that.’

Ahead of our trip to Naples, Romeo Lavia returned to training, with our head coach confirming the Belgian's return will be managed carefully in the weeks ahead. Caicedo spoke about how much he has enjoyed combining with the midfielder both on and off the pitch.

‘He is a world-class player,’ Moises added. ‘I have enjoyed playing alongside him. I miss him because he is a very good player who has helped me a lot.

'We do a lot of things together, so I’m waiting for him because he is such a good player and he will do very well here.’
