Chelsea Foundation recently helped another young fan's dream come true, as 14-year-old Caolan Finnegan enjoyed an unforgettable experience at Stamford Bridge.

As part of a special matchday wish organised alongside Willow Foundation, Caolan and his family were treated to an exclusive behind-the-scenes experience at Chelsea’s 2-0 win over Tottenham Hotspur.

Caolan and his family made the trip from Northern Ireland, and their evening began with a player arrival experience where Caolan was greeted by the Chelsea squad along with Mauricio Pochettino.

A lifelong Chelsea fan, Caolan reflected on his idols past and present. ‘I used to love watching Eden Hazard and Juan Mata, and now Raheem Sterling and Cole Palmer, but also Thiago Silva,’ he said.

The day continued with memorable moments for Caolan, from meeting the Sky Sports presenters on the night, Karen Carney and Jamie Redknapp, to then having the opportunity to watch the team warm up from pitchside. He added: ‘It has been very overwhelming, but an experience I will never forget.’

However, there was one final surprise for Caolan when he and his family were joined by Thiago Silva for photos and the signing of their matchday programmes.

Caolan said: ‘I've been a Chelsea fan my whole life but it was my first time at Stamford Bridge and it has honestly been a dream come true. Meeting Thiago Silva left me speechless, along with being greeted by Mauricio Pochettino.’
