Cesare Casadei earned Loan Performance of the Week by netting a stunning first goal in senior football in the Championship for Reading.

Having joined Reading on loan in January, Cesare Casadei has started to find his feet in the Championship following a string of good performances in recent weeks and continued to impress in the Royals' last two matches.

The Italian midfielder could count himself very unlucky to be on the losing side when they travelled to Blackburn Rovers in midweek, as he opened his account in senior football with a brilliant goal which looked like it would earn them a point on the road against their promotion-chasing opponents.

Having gone behind early, Casadei had already troubled the keeper with one powerful long-range effort when he levelled the scores in style with 20 minutes remaining, smashing a shot into the back of the net from 25 yards following a nice exchange of passes with Lucas Joao. It was Reading's first away goal in the league this year, but it wouldn't be enough as Reading were reduced to 10 men and Blackburn found a late winner.

Casadei was a constant threat again when Reading hosted Hull City at the weekend, drawing a series of saves from the goalkeeper before his header took two blocks to keep it away from goal, allowing Andy Carroll to convert the rebound and earn a 1-1 draw.

Elsewhere, Levi Colwill was another strong contender for Loan Performance of the Week after helping Brighton & Hove Albion book their place at Wembley in the FA Cup semi-finals with an emphatic 5-0 win over Grimsby Town.

Good work Cesare and Levi, keep it up!
