Leo Castledine and Ronnie Stutter both featured for England Under-19s as they thrashed Romania 6-0, with Castledine adding his name to the scoresheet.

The England Under-19s are spending the international break at a training camp in Marbella and got off to a flying start in the first of their three friendlies during the trip to Spain.

Leo Castledine was named in the starting line-up against Romania, with his Chelsea Academy team-mate Ronnie Stutter replacing him from the bench after an hour.

By that time, England were already in a 4-0 lead and cruising. It had taken them less than a minute to open the scoring and it was doubled inside quarter-of-an-hour as the Young Lions ruthlessly punished some uncertain goalkeeping.

Castledine made it three towards the end of the first half, meeting a precise whipped cross from Preston North End right-back Kian Best to head in from close range.

Three more goals followed in the second half as England raced clear into an insurmountable lead to record a dominant victory in their opening game of this international break. They are next in action against Japan on Saturday afternoon.

In today’s other international fixture involving Chelsea players, Djordje Petrovic and Romelu Lukaku were given the evening off as their countries met each other in a senior friendly. Belgium beat Serbia 1-0 in Brussels, but neither player was included in the matchday squad, with competitive fixtures to come for both sides on Sunday.
