After the morning's training session at the stadium, the team engaged with local school children who had been invited to watch them being put through their paces by Sonia Bompastor. Club mascots Stamford and Bridget were also in attendance at Eden Park, bringing the fun in the sunshine on Friday.

Sandy Baltimore was invited to see the mural painted with her image alongside team-mates Ellie Carpenter and Erin Cuthbert alongside the iconic Auckland Sky Tower.

Frizzell, who has been working non-stop on the art installation, is one of New Zealand's most recognisable artists, a graffiti pioneer turned gallery painter, former hip hop MC and food entrepreneur.

'It's really, really nice. It means a lot to me,' said Baltimore, when asked her thoughts on the artwork. 'I hope it inspires young girls and new players because it's the first time we have been here in New Zealand. So I think it's good for women’s football.

'I'm really happy to see my face on the mural. It's the first time for me in New Zealand and my first mural. So yeah, I'm really proud of it.'

In the afternoon, the players headed off in groups for various activities in the city. New signings Giulia Dragoni and Katie McCabe attended a Fan Fest along with Lexi Potter as they posed for pictures and signed autographs with supporters ahead of Saturday's match.

Elsewhere, Lola Brown, Katie Cox, Erin Cuthbert, Wieke Kaptein and Nelly Las were treated to an All Blacks experience, while Kadeisha Buchanan, Naomi Girma, Lauren James and Alyssa Thompson were hosted by the local government as they were shown how to make Chelsea buns with a New Zealand twist by a Michelin-starred chef at local restaurant Cazador.
