We finish our player summaries for 2025/26 by looking in detail at how our forwards fared.
Among that number are our Player of the Season Joao Pedro, and his compatriot Estevao Willian who provided two of the campaign’s highlights.
A reminder that players must have finished the season in our squad and have played a competitive match. We begin with Joao Pedro…
Joao Pedro
Total appearances: 50 (42 starts)
Minutes played: 4041
Goals: 20
Assists: 6
Joao Pedro enjoyed a first full season to remember, hitting the milestone of 20 goals with a spectacular bicycle kick against Nottingham Forest in early May.
The Brazilian scored in our second and third games of the season, wins over West Ham and Fulham, and his next goal was the winner away to Tottenham.
The forward, mostly used in a central striking position but on occasion in a deeper role, hit top gear in the new year. A fine strike against Brentford was followed by a brilliant brace in Naples and a clever header in the comeback win over West Ham.
Further goals followed in home matches with Leeds and Burnley, before Joao Pedro scored his first Chelsea hat-trick in the 4-1 success at Aston Villa. It was no surprise he was voted the Chelsea Player of the Season by supporters.
Pedro Neto
Total appearances: 52 (43 starts)
Minutes played: 4086
Goals: 10
Assists: 10
The winger started the season by winning our August Goal of the Month competition for his composed volley at West Ham.
He was a regular creative and goalscoring force as autumn turned to winter, scoring four times and creating three more between mid-October and mid-December.
Neto bagged a hat-trick in the FA Cup fourth round win at Hull, including achieving the rare feat of scoring directly from a corner.
He finished the campaign with a Chelsea-high ten assists in all competitions, perhaps none more important than the pinpoint cross that set up Enzo Fernandez’s winner against Leeds in the FA Cup semi-final at Wembley. It was also his 100th appearance for the club.
Cole Palmer
Total appearances: 34 (29 starts)
Minutes played: 2689
Goals: 11
Assists: 3
Injury initially disrupted Cole Palmer’s start to the season but he was back on the pitch and the scoresheet with two well-taken strikes in consecutive away games at Brentford and Bayern Munich.
During a longer period on the sidelines with a groin problem, Palmer was named in the 2025 FIFA Men’s Best XI. Shortly after his return, he netted against Everton.
The fourth hat-trick of his Chelsea career arrived in a 3-1 win at Molineux in February. His next goal, at home to Leeds, was the 50th of his Blues career.
Palmer had the honour of captaining the club for the first time in our FA Cup quarter-final victory over Port Vale, and he scored our last goal of the campaign in the defeat to Sunderland.
Alejandro Garnacho
Total appearances: 43 (22 starts)
Minutes played: 2397
Goals: 8
Assists: 4
Alejandro Garnacho debuted off the bench at Brentford and a few games later scored his first Blues goal in an eventual defeat to Sunderland.
After equalising away to Qarabag, Garnacho set up two goals in the win at home to Wolves and netted twice in consecutive Carabao Cup games, against Cardiff and Arsenal. In doing so, he became the first Chelsea player to bag a brace in two consecutive substitute appearances.
His final goals of the campaign came in the FA Cup as he netted in the wins over Wrexham and Port Vale on our journey to the final of the competition.
Estevao Willian
Total appearances: 36 (20 starts)
Minutes played: 1847
Goals: 8
Assists: 3
It was an extremely promising debut season for Estevao Willian, who marked his full debut for the Blues with a fine dribble and pass to set up Fernandez’s goal at West Ham on matchday two.
That made him the youngest Chelsea player to assist a goal in the Premier League, and he duly became our youngest goalscorer in the competition when his far-post finish dramatically won our home game against Liverpool with time almost up.
The goals kept coming and when the teenager scored for the third Champions League game running, it was a belter. Having beaten two Barcelona defenders, he rifled the ball into the roof of the net, a strike reminiscent of his one against Chelsea in the Club World Cup.
He scored another sublime solo effort in a win at Crystal Palace, and by February had bagged the most goals by a teenage Blues player in the Premier League era. Sadly, his season was cut short by a hamstring injury sustained against Manchester United in April, also ruling him out the World Cup.
Liam Delap
Total appearances: 41 (16 starts)
Minutes played: 1811
Goals: 2
Assists: 3
Injury and suspension interrupted the beginning of Liam Delap’s first full campaign in blue, but he chose a good moment to open his account, scoring in the wonderful win over Barcelona.
He recovered from a shoulder issue to score his first league goal for us in defeat at Fulham, and the following month his selfless play created three of our four goals as we won at Hull in the FA Cup.
Jamie Gittens
Total appearances: 27 (12 starts)
Minutes played: 1236
Goals: 1
Assists: 5
Jamie Gittens made his Blues bow on the opening day against Crystal Palace, and regular appearances followed in the early weeks of the campaign.
He set up a goal for Moises Caicedo in the big Champions League win over Ajax, and scored his first for the Blues with a stunning long-range effort that proved decisive in a Carabao Cup victory at Wolves. Unfortunately, his debut season was ended by injury in January and then further setbacks when he had been nearing a return.
Marc Guiu
Total appearances: 13 (5 starts)
Minutes played: 604
Goals: 2
Assists: 2
Having briefly spent time on loan at Sunderland, Marc Guiu returned to Chelsea and made an impact in his first appearance of the season, off the bench in the win over Liverpool.
He did likewise as we defeated Nottingham Forest 3-0 in our next game, and a first Champions League goal followed in the thrashing of Ajax. He was briefly our youngest scorer in the competition before Estevao overtook him.
Guiu registered a fine assist for Fernandez as we defeated Burnley and scored his next goal in the FA Cup win at Charlton, although minutes proved harder to come by as the season progressed and Delap returned to full fitness.
