Xabi Alonso's Chelsea will play our first match of the Premier League campaign, while the Blues will hope a Carabao Cup run also starts this week.

It is a Women's Champions League qualifying clash for Bompastor's team, and there are four matches across the Cobham Next Gen, Women's Under-21s and men's Under-18s this week.

Add in a couple of notable anniversaries from the club's recent history, and there is plenty for Blues supporters to look forward to over the next seven days.

Monday

The new Premier League season begins for Chelsea this evening with a short trip across west London to face Fulham at Craven Cottage.

The Blues kick off the 2026/27 league campaign away from home, with the fixture selected as the opening Monday Night Football match of the season on Sky Sports.

Today also marks the anniversary of Cesar Azpilicueta joining Chelsea in 2012. The Spaniard went on to become one of the most decorated captains in the club's history, lifting the Champions League, Europa League, Premier League, FA Cup and Club World Cup during an outstanding spell in blue. Tuesday

After hearing from Alonso and his players after the Fulham match, attention quickly turns to the next challenge, with the men's team's preparations beginning for Thursday night's Carabao Cup second-round tie against Luton Town at Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea enter the competition in round two and we will bring you the latest from Cobham ahead of that one.

There is competitive action for our Cobham Next Gen side as they travel to Bristol Rovers in the EFL Cup for a 7pm kick-off.

The young Blues will be looking to continue their development against senior opposition, with the competition providing another valuable opportunity for players on their pathway from Academy football towards the first team.

Wednesday

It's a European matchday for the Blues! The first leg sees us host Real Sociedad at Cherry Red Records Stadium, the home of AFC Wimbledon.

The fixture represents the first competitive match of the new season for Bompastor's side as they seek to secure a place in the competition proper.

Thursday

The men's team are back in action just three days after our league opener as Luton Town visit Stamford Bridge in the Carabao Cup.

Cup competitions have delivered many memorable moments throughout Chelsea's history and the Blues will be looking to begin another campaign in the competition with a victory.

Progression into the next round will be the objective as competitive football returns to the Bridge for the first time this season.

Friday

Friday also marks the anniversary of Willian joining Chelsea in 2013. The Brazilian quickly became a fan favourite during seven years at the club, winning two Premier League titles, the Europa League, FA Cup and League Cup while making more than 300 appearances in blue.

Saturday

There is more Academy action to enjoy this weekend, with Chelsea Under-18s back in U18 Premier League action at home to Reading at 11am.

Sunday
