Chelsea defender Mamadou Sarr and forward Nicolas Jackson have both been named in the Senegal squad for this summer's World Cup.

Sarr joined Chelsea last summer from Strasbourg and was part of our squad for our Club World Cup triumph. He returned on loan to the Ligue 1 side ahead of the 2025/26 campaign, and made 18 appearances before being recalled in January.

The 20-year-old has since featured on six occasions for the Blues, with his most recent outing coming in our Premier League victory over Tottenham Hotspur.

Sarr made his debut for Senegal in November and was part of the Senegal squad for this year's African Cup of Nations.

Jackson was also part of that squad and, having spent this season on loan at Bayern Munich, he has been called up for this summer's tournament.

The 24-year-old has made 34 appearances for the Bundesliga champions during the current campaign, scoring 11 goals in all competitions.
