As a club, Chelsea Women want to set the standard when it comes to player care in women’s football. While we have made great strides in enhancing support for players to optimise their on-pitch performance, we are now going further to provide holistic support for their health and wellbeing off the football field as well.

Fertility Plus provides personalised fertility care, and their dedicated medical team combine clinical excellence with compassionate, consultant-led care.

This partnership will see the introduction of a new first-of-its-kind fund available to every women’s team player that will provide bespoke fertility support including assessments, treatments, counselling and workshops through Fertility Plus. With their world-class expertise, Fertility Plus will provide our players with a framework that will empower them with knowledge and tailor support to their personal needs.

Chelsea FC Women and Fertility Plus also share an ambition to challenge common misconceptions about fertility with medical facts, and contribute to improved understanding. A study looking at the Fertility Knowledge Gap - published last year by UCLH - found that 41% of respondents actively trying to conceive did not know when their fertile window was. We want to close that knowledge gap, raise awareness about reproductive health and support women in making informed decisions when they think about starting a family.

Together, Fertility Plus and Chelsea FC Women will also work to promote evidence-based information that empowers our players, as well as the wider Chelsea family, with the knowledge they need to make informed choices around their fertility. With expert-led educational content, myth vs medicine resources and CFCW ambassador insights, we want to change the conversation around fertility and ensure women feel informed and confident when navigating their fertility journey.
