Both have played a significant part in shaping the growth of CFCW and these newly created roles, which they have progressed into, reflect the scale and ambition of the club as we enter a new era.

They will continue to report into the CEO of CFCW, Aki Mandhar.

Shahrestani has worked at Chelsea for 20 years, including across almost every part of CFCW, helping build the club from the ground up. Most recently, she has played a key role in our move to Stamford Bridge, strengthening player safeguarding and developing new opportunities for our fans.

As she begins her new appointment, she says: ‘I've watched this club grow and establish itself as one of the best in the world, on and off the pitch, and I am immensely proud to help shape what comes next.

‘From how we run our matchdays at Stamford Bridge and Plough Lane, to how we protect and support our players and fans, and how we continue to champion the growth of the sport we love — it means everything. This is just the beginning of what we can achieve.’

Mazzia has led our commercial team through significant revenue growth, helping redefine what is commercially possible for the women’s game. Under her leadership, CFCW has secured a series of industry-first partnerships, helping create new opportunities for our athletes, fans and the club.

She says: ‘At CFCW, we challenge ourselves to think differently and find partnerships and commercial opportunities that don’t just generate revenue, but strengthen what we’re building as a club and add to the experience of our fans and players. I believe getting that balance right is fundamental to building a business that is both ambitious and sustainable, and ultimately reflects the quality and potential of what happens on the pitch.’
