We are delighted that today, we have opened our renewal and purchase process for 2023/24 season tickets for Chelsea FC Women.
Existing Chelsea FC Women season ticket holders can log into their ticketing account now and purchase their seat for the new season, with a renewal deadline of 5pm on 28 July. For the first time since 2021, new season tickets will then be available to purchase later on a first come, first served basis. Full details will be confirmed once the renewal period has passed.
For the season ahead, we have made a number of significant changes to our ticketing strategy. This follows an extensive program of fan surveys, focus groups and meetings with our playing squad and backroom staff.
There will be more flexibility in ticketing packages for the new season, after our research showed that fans agreed our pricing was too low, particularly concession season tickets, which were only £5. While the findings of our research show many supporters would pay significantly higher prices to attend our matches, we want our games to remain accessible for as many people as possible to support Chelsea FC Women. The new season ticket prices can be viewed here.
We will be investing even more into Kingsmeadow Stadium as well as introducing a number of changes. For the first time, season ticket holders will be able to use a ticket exchange for sold-out WSL matches at Kingsmeadow, and will notice allocated seating throughout the stadium and a dedicated away end. The ticket exchange will be available from December.
Our research also showed that supporters valued flexibility in ticketing options and being able to choose their preferred stadium. For the 2023/24 season there will be more ticketing options for supporters, with a new four-match package for WSL matches at Stamford Bridge being introduced in addition to the season ticket.
From today, existing season ticket holders have a 24-hour priority window to purchase the WSL ticket package before it goes on general sale. We recommend that season ticket holders purchase in the Matthew Harding end at Stamford Bridge, which will become our primary atmosphere and singing stand for Chelsea FC Women matches next season, or the north end of the East Lower.
The ticket packages are the only way to guarantee your seat for every game and ensure our most loyal supporters do not miss out. There will continue to be match-by-match tickets available to purchase for fixtures at Stamford Bridge and Kingsmeadow, subject to availability.
The 2023/24 price strategy is intended to be affordable, ensures we are not operating at a loss, and allows us to invest to improve the experience for our supporters. We are pioneers of women’s football and have a responsibility to identify ways to continue to professionalise the game, remain competitive and ensure the long-term sustainability of women’s football.
