Chelsea Foundation are now delivering weekly webinars to coaches from grassroots clubs to provide coach education.
Taking place four days a week, the webinars are delivered by our experienced Foundation coaches and provide grassroots coaches with coach education around managing different aspects of coaching.From building club and coach philosophies to managing players and their development, the webinars also offer tips on planning and reviewing sessions as well as an insight into coaching in the female game.Guest speakers on the webinars have included Foundation youth development officer Brian Mustill, Sussex development manager Nick Brown, head of Chelsea Women’s Academy Dean Steninger and Chelsea FC Women’s movement coach, Harry McCullogh.
Foundation development officer for Berkshire and Women’s RTC coach Simon Jackson said: ‘We have been delighted with the response in the amount of coaches that have joined us on our calls. We’ve even had coaches join us from Wales and Norway!‘The aim of these sessions has been to develop our partnerships within the community as well as take the opportunity to progress standards of coaching using the experience we have within the Foundation. The feedback we have received on these sessions has been excellent and really drives us on to continue in our coach education provisions.’Old Windsor Tigers coach Steve O'Hara has attended recent coach education sessions and he said: ‘The insight was invaluable.
