Emma Hayes’ Chelsea Women have been handed an away trip to Manchester City after the draw for the FA Women’s Continental Tyres League Cup semi-finals was conducted on Friday evening.

Due to our European exploits, we came into the competition at the quarter-final stage and began our quest for a third League Cup triumph with a 5-0 victory on home soil against Sunderland of the Barclays Women’s Championship on Wednesday.

Aggie Beever-Jones added to respective braces from Sjoeke Nusken and Fran Kirby as the Blues booked our place in the semi-finals, where we have been dealt an away trip to Manchester City.

As ball number one, we were the second name to be pulled from the hat and will continue our battle for a place in this year’s final at Molineux, with our encounter against Manchester City one of two semi-final ties to be contested next month.

The FA Women’s Continental Tyres League Cup semi-finals are set to be played on either Wednesday 6 or Thursday 7 March. An exact date, kick-off time and ticket details for our visit to Manchester City will be announced in due course.
