He will not be in the dugout for tonight's Premier League clash with Fulham, but new Blues head coach Liam Rosenior has been settling into his new surroundings at Cobham.
The 41-year-old, who has previously coached Derby County, Hull City and Ligue 1 side Strasbourg, has signed a contract with the Blues through to 2032.
Having bid a classy farewell to Strasbourg on Tuesday morning, Rosenior travelled back to the UK and made his way to our Surrey training base.
Upon his arrival, Rosenior introduced himself to the Blues staff and he also had a brief opportunity to address the Blues players as they continued their preparations for Fulham under the guidance of Under-21s head coach Calum McFarlane.
Rosenior then sat down to conduct his first interview as Chelsea head coach, which can be viewed in full above. The new Blues boss spoke of his pride at taking charge, what he expects from his side and his desire to uphold the traditions and values of the club.
'I want the fans at home to be off their seat in the first ten minutes and feel like it's wave after wave,' he said. 'When I played against the likes of (Michael) Essien, (Frank) Lampard, (Didier) Drogba, Arjen Robben, Joe Cole, you felt when you turned up at Stamford Bridge it was going to be a really difficult day.
'I want to create that feeling here. I want us to be intense, I want us to be brave and fearless, and if we do all of those things, we can have a really good time together.’
Our club photographer was alongside Liam during his first few hours at Cobham and we have pulled together a selection of images below for you to enjoy.
