There are five changes to the Chelsea team for today’s FA Cup quarter-final at Middlesbrough.
Less than 72 hours after the full-time whistle in Lille, Thomas Tuchel freshens up his starting XI with Malang Sarr, Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Hakim Ziyech and Romelu Lukaku all coming in. Mason Mount, a half-time sub in France, is also selected from the off today.
Edou Mendy keeps his place, with Kepa Arrizabalaga unavailable, as do Cesar Azpilicueta, Thiago Silva and Toni Rudiger at the back. Mateo Kovacic is expected to be joined in midfield by Mount and Loftus-Cheek, with Christian Pulisic in a front three also containing Ziyech and Lukaku.
Kai Havertz, Timo Werner and N’Golo Kante are among those on our bench. Middlesbrough are unchanged from their midweek win at Birmingham.
