Jimmy-Jay Morgan took his goal tally this season to 10, Omari Kellyman continued to impress, and there were debuts in the Premier League, Championship and abroad as we look back at how the Chelsea players out on loan fared in February.

Peterborough United – Jimmy-Jay Morgan

Playing in the No.10 role behind the lead striker, Morgan took his goals tally for the season into double figures by hitting the back of the net three times in League One in February.

The forward helped Peterborough run riot against Wigan Athletic, heading in their third from the rebound when his own effort hit the bar, then providing the cross for their fourth in a 6-1 win.

That form continued in the next game, Morgan finishing off a counter-attack to open the scoring in a 2-1 victory at Mansfield Town, as he registered goals in consecutive matches for the first time since September.

Following defeats to Bradford City and Barnsley, they got back in the points with a thrilling 3-3 draw with Exeter City, before Morgan finished his strong month by firing in a second-half equaliser to secure a 1-1 draw at Northampton Town.

Cardiff City – Omari Kellyman

Kellyman continued his impressive campaign by reaching seven League One goals for the season, despite Cardiff’s unbeaten run coming to an end. He opened the scoring in a 3-0 win for the 10-man Bluebirds at Rotherham United and, after another victory over Luton Town, completed the scoring as they beat Wimbledon 4-1.

The attacking-midfielder’s sixth and seventh league goals of the season both came away at Plymouth Argyle, but unfortunately, that wasn’t enough to stop Cardiff suffering a 5-2 defeat. That ended a run of 12 games without a loss, but they remain one point clear at the top of the table.

Everton – Tyrique George

George enjoyed a memorable Everton debut, as he helped the Toffees fight back from a goal down to win 2-1 at Fulham in the Premier League. He came on with 20 minutes remaining and Everton losing, before former Blue Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall scored one and then forced an own-goal winner.

Unfortunately, George’s fortunes were reversed on his first start, coming off shortly after Bournemouth had equalised at the Hill Dickinson Stadium, only for the visitors to score again two minutes later.

His third appearance also arrived from the bench, with Everton trailing Manchester United 1-0. The winger came agonisingly close to netting an equaliser in added time, only to see his effort saved by the goalkeeper.

West Ham United – Axel Disasi

The defender made a strong start to his time at West Ham, helping them to a clean sheet – their first in 21 matches – and a crucial 2-0 win over Burnley in the Premier League relegation scrap on his debut.

He started the Hammers’ following three league games, as two draws and a defeat to Liverpool saw their improved form allow them to climb within two points of safety.

Leicester City – Dujuan Richards

The Jamaican international had a difficult debut for Leicester, coming off the bench for the final 15 minutes as they looked for an equaliser with 10 men, but ultimately succumbed 2-1 at Birmingham City.

He came on again shortly before the start of extra time in the Foxes' FA Cup fourth-round trip to Southampton, but it was the Saints who found the decisive goal in extra time.

Boreham Wood – Ted Curd

The goalkeeper impressed on his return to the Boreham Wood line-up for their National League Cup semi-final against Truro City. He made three important saves with the game goalless, before Truro had a player sent off and Boreham Wood scored two late goals to win 2-0.

That clean sheet saw Curd retain his place when they returned to National League duties, in a 1-1 draw with Forest Green Rovers. Another clean sheet and 2-0 win followed against fellow promotion hopefuls Southend United mean Boreham Wood remain in the play-off places despite a 3-2 loss to Tamworth.

Strasbourg – Aaron Anselmino, David Fofana, Mike Penders

Penders played every minute for Strasbourg as they picked up five points from five Ligue 1 games in February, as well as helping them book their place in the Coupe de France quarter-finals with a 3-1 home win over Monaco.

There were also debuts for Fofana and Anselmino after the pair moved to France during the transfer window.

Fofana came off the bench in that win over Monaco and again in a 2-2 draw with Marseille, being joined by Anselmino in the latter, before the defender also featured off the bench in a 3-1 win over Lyon, which keeps Strasbourg within five points of the European places.

River Plate – Kendry Paez

Paez made his first appearance in Argentine football as a second-half substitute in River Plate’s 1-0 loss at Argentinos Juniors, and it was a similar story when he played the second half of their 1-0 defeat to Velez Sarsfield.

His first taste of victory with River Plate arrived in their final match of February, featuring for the last 25 minutes in a 3-1 home win over Banfield.

Bayern Munich – Nicolas Jackson

Jackson made two appearances for Bayern Munich in February, coming off the bench to replace striker Harry Kane on each occasion. They were both in comfortable Bundesliga wins, beating Hoffenheim 5-1 and Werder Bremen 3-0, to extend their lead at the top of the table to 11 points.
