Reece James's stunning free-kick against Newcastle has been named as our Men's Goal of the Month for December.

It was a supremely impressive effort from our skipper, kickstarting our fightback at St. James' Park.

Taking a moment to compose himself before looping the ball over the wall, Reece's free-kick hit the post on its way in and nestled sweetly into the net, reducing our deficit before Joao Pedro equalised 15 minutes later.

Chelsea supporters are well-versed in the quality of Reece's set-pieces, and the results from the Goal of the Month poll prove just that.

Our captain's goal received 65 per cent of the vote, while Cole Palmer's strike against Everton claimed the runner-up spot with 17 per cent. Completing the podium positions was Enzo Fernandez's top corner strike against Bournemouth, earning 11 per cent.

Congrats and well deserved, Reece!
