The November Men's Goal of the Month vote proved something of a formality, with Estevao Willian's stunning strike in our Champions League victory over Barcelona the landslide winner.

It was a goal born out of the 18-year-old's ingenuity, quick feet and raw confidence. He collected a pass from Reece James out on the right flank and darted straight towards the Barcelona penalty area.

Pau Cubarsi tried to halt the Brazilian winger but was easily bypassed. Estevao then shifted the ball onto his right foot, held off covering Alejandro Balde, and fired an unstoppable effort into the roof of Joan Garcia's net.

'The goal was all very quick; it happened before I knew it. I saw the space, wiggled my way through and scored,' the Brazil international reflected.

‘It was definitely the most special moment in my career, and I hope I keep scoring more in the years ahead. I’m so happy, also because my family were here watching as well.’

Estevao's strike received a mammoth 87 per cent of the votes. Alejandro Garnacho's goal in our Champions League clash with Qarabag claimed the runners-up spot, while Joao Pedro's winner at Tottenham Hotspur and Pedro Neto's opener at Burnley shared third.

Congratulations, Estevao!
