Players, staff and supporters of our men's and women's teams gathered at Stamford Bridge on Wednesday to mark an incredible season of success at the Together in Glory event.
The evening of celebration began with all the players and coaching staff being presented to the crowd, as they walked across the Stamford Bridge pitch one-by-one.
Our women’s team were first, represented by Erin Cuthbert, Maika Hamano, Catarina Macario, Becky Spencer, captain Millie Bright and head coach Sonia Bompastor. They brought with them the Women’s Super League, Women’s FA Cup and League Cup trophies claimed in an incredible Treble-winning 2024/25.
Those three women’s trophies were proudly displayed on plinths on the pitch as each member of the men’s squad was introduced to supporters at Stamford Bridge as world champions for the first time.
That FIFA Club World Cup trophy won in the USA over the summer was saved for last and was carried onto the pitch by men’s captain Reece James and head coach Enzo Maresca to loud cheers, with the newest piece of silverware taking centre stage.
Addressing the fans, James said: 'This season we’ve taken a big leap in the right direction. It means a lot to me personally. I’ve been here in difficult times, I’ve had struggles myself, so to win these trophies at the end of a tough season means a lot.
'I’d just like to thank you all for your support throughout last season and we’ll need you again going into this season coming up. We hope we can bring some more silverware to you soon.'
Fellow skipper Bright also had her eyes firmly set on more trophies, saying: ‘I will look back at the [personal] stats when I retire but for me it is all about the team, it is all about the people I work with every day and the club that I am a part of. There is work to be done and the Champions League is on its way.'
‘There is way more to come from us so you should be excited,’ she added.
There was also the UEFA Conference League trophy, carried onto the pitch by Enzo Fernandez, while summer signings Liam Delap, Estevao, Dario Essugo, Jamie Gittens, Joao Pedro and Jorrel Hato were introduced to the fans at the Bridge for the first time.
The Blues then addressed the gathered supporters to recap on an incredible season of success across our men’s and women’s teams.
James and the Club World Cup trophy were then joined on stage by the rest of our men's world champions, before being accompanied by the women's team to thank the fans together and offer a fantastic snapshot of the incredible success enjoyed by Chelsea across both teams in a fantastic season.
All that was left was for James and his fellow Blues to hand deliver our Club World Cup trophy to its new home in the trophy cabinet in the Chelsea Museum at Stamford Bridge, watched on the big screen by the supporters inside the West Stand to loud cheers.
There was still time for Blues legends Carlo Cudicini and Katie Chapman to speak to the crowd as they reflected on a superb campaign and looked ahead to another exciting season.
'We feel very excited,' Maresca said. 'We had two or three weeks off, tried to recharge for the new season. Also we have some new players, so we are excited for the new season. I think we showed last season how strong we are, but in football it is never enough, you always have to try to do more to improve.'
Bompastor went unbeaten in her first domestic campaign, lifting the Treble, and reached the semi-final of the Women's Champions League. Next season, like Bright, she is determined to go one better.
‘It is so nice to be with you today,' she told fans. 'It was difficult to believe last season was possible. The league here is so competitive. Even though I knew Chelsea won so many trophies before I came here, to be able to achieve that in my first season with this group, I am so proud of the players and next year were are going for four trophies!’
