Marking Remembrance and produced in partnership with the Royal British Legion (RBL), a new Chelsea pre-match top whose design is inspired by the symbolic poppy will be raising money for the RBL’s Poppy Appeal. It is launched today as Chelsea Football Club this month honours those who lost their lives in conflict across the world.
This Nike pre-match top will be worn by our men’s and women’s teams ahead of kick-off in four forthcoming games, commencing today when the Blues travel to Tottenham for a Premier League London derby.
The striking, commemorative design features the time-honoured symbol of Remembrance – the red poppy flower – united with our historic Chelsea rose. Brought together as one, they are emblazoned large across the white fabric of the short-sleeved top, with the club badge and partner branding picked out in poppy-centre black.
Red, as well being the colour of the rose on our crest, has long been intertwined with our many years of Remembrance, prominent on the coats of the famous Chelsea Pensioners during their ceremonial role.
To raise money for the Poppy Appeal, we are making a limited edition of only 2,025 items available for fans to purchase and £15.00 from the sale of each Chelsea FC Remembrance Pre-Match Top will be paid to Royal British Legion Trading Limited (Company No. 4783730 registered in England and Wales) which gives its taxable profits to The Royal British Legion (Charity No. 219279).
The Royal British Legion raises money to support serving members of the Armed Forces, veterans and their families. Your donation will help raise vital funds for RBL to support the Armed Forces community for life.

As well as at the big match today, our men’s team will also be wearing the top next weekend at Stamford Bridge when we host Wolverhampton Wanderers. On the same day it will be the pre-match attire for Chelsea Women’s derby match at Arsenal, and then their visit to Liverpool the following weekend. These are the two games designated by the WSL for marking Remembrance.
Supporters wishing to own one of the pre-match tops and support the Poppy Appeal in this way will find them exclusively available now in the Megastore at Stamford Bridge and from our online store.
They come in adults’ and kids’ sizes with a choice of the appropriate men’s or women’s team partner branding for the adult versions.
In addition to the top, we are also selling poppy pin badges and scarves with a percentage from the sales of these also being donated to the Royal British Legion.
