Chelsea duo Robert Sanchez and Levi Colwill have visited the McLaren Technology Centre, where they received specialist coaching from F1 driver Lando Norris before going head-to-head on McLaren F1's Esports simulator.

Organised by the Premier League, the Chelsea goalkeeper and defender were given a guided tour around the Technology Centre in Woking, during which they were afforded the chance to get up close to McLaren's racecars.

It was then on to the Esports simulator. Sanchez and Colwill would face off on the virtual track but not before a few practice laps and words of wisdom from Norris, who has raced for McLaren since 2019.

Five intense laps of racing followed. Sanchez proved the faster driver yet didn't cross the line first – his decision to allow Colwill to close the gap during the second lap proved costly!

It was left to Norris to select which player he thought had more potential as a racing driver. He opted for Sanchez, who was 1.9 seconds a lap faster than his Chelsea teammate.

The Blues duo then presented Norris with a personalised Chelsea shirt signed by both players. The number four was emblazoned on the back, referencing his driver number on the F1 grid.

We have put together a selection of images from the day, which you can view below.
