Players from both Chelsea men’s and women’s teams visited local hospitals, to hand out gifts to patients and meet with families and staff ahead of Christmas.
Conor Gallagher, Mykhailo Mudryk, Djordje Petrovic and Benoit Badiashile visited Chelsea & Westminster Hospital, while Hannah Hampton, Aggie Beever-Jones and Zecira Musovic visited St Mary’s Hospital.
The players surprised patients with Chelsea Christmas gifts including footballs, scarves, bottles and accessories.
The visits were organised by Chelsea Foundation who work closely with local NHS hospitals and trusts in developing a range of health and wellbeing initiatives.
In addition, Chelsea Foundation has arranged a number of activities for NHS staff, including most recently a Christmas football tournament in which more than 70 members of NHS staff from across west London took part at St Paul’s School in Hammersmith.
