Players from our men’s and women’s teams have shown their support for the World Jewish Congress’ #WeRemember campaign ahead of International Holocaust Remembrance Day on January 27.

Now in its third year, the campaign urges people to photograph themselves holding a #WeRemember sign and post it to social media in an effort to combat antisemitism and all forms of hatred, genocide and xenophobia.

The campaign reached more than 650 million people last year – more than one in 11 people – in 50 countries and 20 languages.

This week Cesar Azpilicueta, Eden Hazard and England duo Millie Bright and Hannah Blundell led the way for Chelsea by taking part in the above video raising awareness of Holocaust Memorial Day, while other players took time out to pause for photos. Maurizio Sarri and Carlo Cudicini also lent their support to the campaign.

Last year, Chelsea launched our Say No To Antisemitism campaign four days after Holocaust Memorial Day when Bournemouth visited Stamford Bridge. Owner Roman Abramovich wrote a unique foreword for the matchday programme while in the Directors’ Box, the Chief Rabbi Ephraim Mirvis presided over a candle-lighting ceremony and was joined by special guests including Holocaust survivors and leaders from the Jewish community.
