Another fixture in Chelsea’s pre-season tour of the United States of America this summer has been confirmed, with the Blues set to play Wrexham in Chapel Hill, North Carolina as part of the 2023 FC Series.

The fixture will take place on Wednesday 19 July, prior to our three Premier League Summer Series matches, and the venue will be the University of North Carolina’s 50,000-capacity Kenan Stadium.

Tickets for the game against Wrexham in Chapel Hill are now available on general sale to Chelsea supporters and can be purchased here.

A portion of every ticket sold will be donated to the Pediatric Hematology Oncology Clinic at UNC Children’s Hospital.

Also, for the first time in the Blues’ history, we are bringing our award-winning Club Chelsea hospitality overseas. We are offering a limited number of premium VIP packages across all the matchday locations.

Wrexham, one of the oldest football clubs in the world, have grabbed worldwide attention since being bought by actors Rob McElhenney and Ryan Reynolds in 2020. They currently lead the National League with a couple of games remaining. We last played the Red Dragons in a pre-season game in 1984, won by Chelsea 1-0 at the Racecourse Ground. This will be our first meeting on neutral territory.

Tom Glick, Chelsea FC president of business, said: 'We are delighted to return to North Carolina as part of our US tour this summer, and play in what I'm sure will be a fantastic atmosphere at Kenan Stadium.

'Our strong US fanbase support us incredibly all year round and we are looking forward to meeting them in Chapel Hill.'

The FC series has featured clubs from all over the world since 2015, and last July we played Arsenal in the showpiece match in Orlando.

An additional stateside fixture this summer will be confirmed by the club in the coming weeks.
