Chelsea's Katie Cox, Lexi Potter and Chloe Sarwie were part of an England Under-23 squad that won the WU23 European Competition with a 3-0 win over Sweden!

After progressing to Friday's final with a 1-0 win over the Netherlands on Monday, Lexi Potter and Chloe Sarwie were named in head coach Lydia Bedford's starting XI in Murcia once more, while Blues goalkeeper Cox was on the bench.

London City Lionesses' Isobel Goodwin scored the only goal of the game in the semi-final, and the forward then opened the scoring against Sweden after just four minutes with an impressive strike from outside of the box.

It was a flying start from the Lionesses, and they capitalised on their early lead with another goal before the ten-minute mark. This time, 17-year-old Blues defender Sarwie provided the assist as she swung in the corner to allow Hannah Silcock to head home with the help of the post.

The rapid two-goal head start allowed England to settle into the game and control the play, and shortly after the restart, they struck again.

Tottenham's Lenna Gunning-Williams drove past two Swedish defenders before picking out Olivia McLoughlin in the box, who put the Lionesses three goals in front with her glancing header.

At 3-0, Bedford was able to make some changes, switching Potter for Everton's Laila Harbert shortly after the goal, while Sarwie was substituted for Jess Simpson with 71 minutes gone.

Sweden had no reply to England's dominance, as the Under-23 side concluded their 2025/26 campaign with a trophy win.
