Estevao Willian, Alyssa Thompson and Millie Bright have all won prizes at the London Football Awards 2026.
The Chelsea trio were honoured at tonight's ceremony in White City, with Estevao named Men’s Young Player of the Year and Thompson picking up the same award in the women’s category. Bright was chosen as the PFA Women’s Player in the Community champion, meanwhile.
For Estevao, it further underlines his fantastic start to life at Stamford Bridge following his arrival from Palmeiras last summer.
The Brazilian has scored seven goals and registered three assists in 32 games so far this term, with individual highlights including a last-gasp winner against Liverpool and a dazzling solo effort in the big victory over Barcelona.
The 18-year-old saw off competition from Crystal Palace midfielder Adam Wharton, Brentford defender Michael Kayode, Fulham's Josh King and West Ham's Oliver Scarles.
Thompson is the Women’s Young Player of the Year after a successful beginning to her Chelsea career. She is our second-highest goalscorer so far this season (eight goals) and has caught the eye with her electric pace and dynamic wing play.
Cathinka Tandberg, Freya Godfrey, Toko Koga and our own Wieke Kaptein were the other nominees in the Women’s Young Player of the Year category.
Bright has been honoured for her work in the local community. Since becoming a trustee of the Chelsea Foundation, Millie has placed particular emphasis on raising awareness of autism and ADHD, an issue close to her heart.
This focus became the catalyst for the development of a dedicated project designed to support teachers in developing inclusive practice in PE for children with special educational needs in mainstream settings.
The Chelsea Foundation, working closely with Millie and a selected network of partner schools, have delivered several workshops and programmes to help build teacher confidence in inclusive delivery while enabling targeted pupils to take part in inclusive, values-led PE and classroom sessions.
Moises Caicedo and Keira Walsh were the other Chelsea players nominated for awards, in the Men’s Player of the Year and Women’s Player of the Year categories, respectively.
The London Football Awards have been celebrating the best of London football for more than ten years and are independently judged by senior figures from across the industry.
Congratulations Estevao, Alyssa and Millie!
