We have reached the final group in our search for Chelsea’s Ultimate Goal of the Season, with five more spectacular strikes competing for the last two places in the quarter-finals.
Groups A, B and C have already put 15 previous winners up for the vote, and Group D completes our line-up with goals from Ashley Cole, Lewis Baker, Eden Hazard, Mateo Kovacic and Moises Caicedo.
The five contenders cover 14 years of Chelsea history and include everything from brilliant close control inside the penalty area to extraordinary efforts from distance.
There is also something unique about this group. Baker’s 2014 winner came for our Under-21s against Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium, making it the only Goal of the Season winner in our 20-goal field which was not scored for the men’s first team.
Alongside it are memorable goals at Stamford Bridge and Anfield, including another piece of Hazard magic - incredibly his third entry into this competition, with the previous two having both advanced already.
The two goals which receive the most votes will progress to the quarter-finals, completing the eight-goal line-up for the next stage of our Ultimate Goal of the Season contest.
You can watch all five Group D contenders below, relive each special moment and choose your favourite by voting on the Chelsea Official App, so make sure you have your say on which strikes deserve to progress.
Ashley Cole vs Sunderland - 2010
Cole raced on to John Terry’s lofted pass, brought the ball under control superbly in the box, cut inside a sliding challenge and then used the outside of his left foot to dink past the keeper and find the far corner during our 7-2 victory over Sunderland.
Lewis Baker vs Arsenal Under-21s - 2014
Baker produced an outrageous finish for our Under-21s at the Emirates Stadium, meeting a cross from Islam Feruz first time and improvising brilliantly with a spinning backheel which flew into the Arsenal net, leaving the keeper looking bewildered.
Eden Hazard vs Liverpool - 2019
Hazard settled a Carabao Cup tie at Anfield in trademark fashion, surging past Naby Keita, nutmegging Alberto Moreno and then firing an unstoppable finish across goal from a tight angle to complete a 2-1 comeback victory. The goal gets better with every rewatch.
Mateo Kovacic vs Liverpool - 2022
With the Blues two goals down at Stamford Bridge, Kovacic met a punched clearance from the goalkeeper with a magnificent first-time volley - while moving backwards - from outside the penalty area, sending the ball in off the post to spark our fightback to a 2-2 draw.
Moises Caicedo vs Bournemouth - 2024
Caicedo chose a remarkable way to score his first Chelsea goal, collecting a loose clearance just inside his own half before launching an inch-perfect effort over the retreating defence and into the empty net from the halfway line.
