Chelsea are officially winners of the 2025/26 Under-18 Premier League South title after sealing top spot by beating Ipswich Town today.
Our Under-18s went into Saturday’s match with an eight-point lead over Tottenham Hotspur at the top of the table and continued our push for the trophy with a 5-0 win over Ipswich at Cobham, with Jashayde Greenwood netting twice before Lewi Richards, Sol Gordon and Kobe Barbour added their names to the score sheet.
Combined with Tottenham’s 2-1 loss at Aston Villa, today’s results guarantee that Spurs can no longer catch our lead in first place, despite their game in hand, making the Blues this season’s southern champions with two matches to spare.
We closed in on the title with a fantastic run of late-season form, the win over Ipswich being our seventh in a row and our 19th overall from 26 league games so far in 2025/26, scoring an impressive 78 goals in the process.
As well as securing us the southern title, our first-place league finish also qualifies us for the Under-18 Premier League national final, where we will take on the northern winners in a one-off match for the right to be crowned English champions. Three points currently separate Manchester City and Manchester United at the top of the northern table.
Before then, Chelsea Under-18s have two remaining league fixtures, away at Birmingham City at midday on Saturday 2 May, then concluding the regular campaign at home against Leicester City at the same time the following Saturday. Both those games will be available to watch live for free on the Chelsea Official App and website.
