Chelsea are Under-18 Premier League champions after defeating Manchester City 5-1 in the National Final at Stamford Bridge.
Having already triumphed to take the Under-18 Premier League South title during our league campaign, the Blues defeated northern winners Manchester City in the one-off final on Friday evening to add a second trophy of the season with the overall national championship.
We shot into an early lead at the Bridge, as Chizaram Ezenwata was well placed to turn in the rebound from Ryan Kavuma-McQueen's saved effort, before Mathis Eboue fired into the bottom corner to give us a 2-0 lead inside the opening 10 minutes.
Man City pulled a goal back, but Kavuma-McQueen beat the keeper from a tight angle at the end of a strong run down to right to restore our two-goal advantage before half-time. Sol Gordon then came off the bench to slot in a fourth late on to make the victory certain, with Kavuma-McQueen getting his second of the game to put the icing on the cake deep into added time.
It remained 5-1 at the final whistle, meaning Chelsea are Under-18 Premier League national champions for the first time since 2018, at the end of a campaign which saw us win 21 of our 28 league fixtures and score over 100 goals across all competitions.
Congratulations, boys!
