Romeo Lavia is the third guest on our new video series, CFC Unlocked. The midfielder discusses the advice he receives from Blues legend Eden Hazard, the challenges of moving to England at 16, and which position is the hardest to master.
After featuring in every game of our Club World Cup campaign, Romeo took some time out of his schedule to sit down at our team hotel in Miami and reflect upon his journey so far and the experiences that have moulded him into a Chelsea player.
He also highlighted the important role Eden Hazard has played in his development and the words of guidance passed on by the brilliant Belgian, who made more than 350 appearances for the Blues and lifted seven trophies.
The Belgium international said: 'Because he's so grounded and doesn't take things too seriously, when he has something to say, he will say it clearly. For him, that's normal. So I really appreciate that because he will tell you the truth to your face.
'They are the people I tend to be around because they are the ones who help you evolve. Honestly, he has been a great help.'
