Chelsea vs Arsenal head to head
For third time in the last four seasons, Chelsea and Arsenal end the season playing each other in a cup final.Chelsea and Arsenal have won a combined 12 of the past 20 FA Cup finals (six each).Chelsea are unbeaten in three games against Arsenal since the Gunners’ 2-0 home Premier League win in January 2019.This is the 15th time Chelsea and Arsenal have been drawn together in the FA Cup. The Blues have won five and Arsenal nine of the meetings so far. However, the semi-final in 2009, thanks to goals from Florent Malouda and Didier Drogba, is the only victory in our last nine encounters in the competition since 1947.
Chelsea play Arsenal for the 201st occasion in all competitions, more times than we have played against any other club.This will be the first FA Cup final managed by two men who both also played for their teams in an FA Cup final since 2012 (Roberto Di Matteo and Kenny Dalglish).

Chelsea are the most successful side in the FA Cup since the turn of the century, reaching nine finals (including 2020) winning six of them. We are playing in our third FA Cup final in the past four seasons.
Since our 0-4 defeat to Man Utd in 1994, we have won seven of our nine FA Cup finals. Both our defeats in that time were to the Gunners in 2002 and 2017.
We have reached our 14th FA Cup final. Only Arsenal 21 and Man Utd 20 have made the final on more occasions.
The Blues are playing our 26th game at the new Wembley Stadium since it opened in 2007.

Arsenal have reached the FA Cup final a record 21 times, with the Gunners also winning the competition more than any other side (13).
Arsenal have won their past six FA Cup finals - against Chelsea twice, Southampton, Man Utd, Hull and Aston Villa. Only Tottenham (seven between 1901 and 1982) have won more consecutive FA Cup final appearances.
The Gunners last lost an FA Cup final in 2001 when Liverpool were victors at the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff. They last lost a Wembley FA Cup final in 1980 when a Trevor Brooking goal secured silverware for West Ham.
Mikel Arteta is to become only the second man to manage Arsenal in an FA Cup final having also played for the Gunners in one, after George Graham. He could become the first person to win the FA Cup with Arsenal as both a captain and a manager.

Anthony Taylor is the first referee since 1901 to take charge of a second FA Cup final. His first was also Arsenal vs Chelsea in 2017. Taylor has been the official in four Blues games this season; Man Utd in the Premier League at home, Tottenham away, Watford away and Man Utd away.
