Chelsea's first Premier League home game of 2026 is against fellow west London side Brentford, and here are all the facts and figures related to the fixture...
Ahead of our 22nd game of the Premier League season, the Blues are eighth with 31 points, 18 points behind leaders Arsenal and two behind fifth-placed Brentford.
Head-to-head
Chelsea won the corresponding fixture last season 2-1 with goals from Marc Cucurella and Nicolas Jackson. That is our only win in our last eight Premier League games against Brentford (four draws, three defeats).
The home side did not win any of the first six Premier League meetings between Chelsea and Brentford, before the Blues recorded that 2-1 victory at the Bridge in December 2024. That was also our first home league win against Brentford in 78 years.
The Bees have a 75 per cent win-rate at Stamford Bridge in the Premier League.
In the reverse fixture at Brentford in September, Kevin Schade opened the scoring for Brentford before Cole Palmer and Moises Caicedo put the Blues ahead, only for Fabio Cavalho to equalise in the third minute of stoppage time.
Eleven of Brentford’s 12 Premier League goals against Chelsea have been scored in the second half.
