Chelsea host Brighton in Women's Super League action at Kingsmeadow this week with the Blues hoping to continue our good recent form.
We picked up our first piece of silverware of the season courtesy of a 2-0 victory over Manchester United in the League Cup final at Ashton Gate on Sunday. Lauren James and Aggie Beever-Jones netted to ensure we retained the trophy.
Now attention switches back to the Women's Super League. We host Brighton in a fixture rescheduled from the weekend just gone. We sit a point behind second-placed Manchester United and a point ahead of Arsenal, who have played a game fewer.

The form
The Blues are in WSL action for the first time since 15 February, when we beat Liverpool 2-0 at Kingsmeadow. Prior to that we won by the same scoreline away to Tottenham. Our most recent game against the Seagulls was a 3-0 success prior to Christmas.
Since that game, Brighton have lost three of their four WSL fixtures, most recently beaten 3-2 by West Ham on 8 February. However, they exacted revenge over the Hammers with a 2-1 FA Cup success the following week.
Recent head-to-head
We have won ten, drawn three and lost one of our 14 WSL meetings with the Seagulls, including that 3-0 success at the Broadfield Stadium in December.
In the corresponding fixture last season, we defeated Brighton 4-2 at Kingsmeadow, Sjoeke Nusken netting twice that afternoon.
