Everton’s biggest win at Stamford Bridge is 3-1 in 1912/13 (Division One)

Chelsea have played 27 Premier League games against Everton at Stamford Bridge since our last defeat, which is our best-ever run in the competition. Against no side have we had a longer unbeaten run at Stamford Bridge in our top-flight history (we also had a run of this length against Tottenham between 1990 and 2016).

The Toffees run of 27 games without a win is their longest away at another club in the Premier League. Only against Leeds (35 between 1946 and 2001) have they had a longer away run without a win in top-flight history.

The last occasion Everton came away from the Bridge with a league win was in November 1994, when Glenn Hoddle was the Chelsea manager. Paul Rideout scored the only goal for the Toffees, who were in the bottom three at the time.

Chelsea have scored 294 goals against Everton in all competitions, 24 more than we have managed against any other side (Arsenal and Tottenham 270).

The Blues won the reverse fixture 1-0 at Goodison Park in August, with Jorginho scoring a first-half stoppage-time winner from the penalty spot.

The Blues are looking for a league double against Everton for the first time since 2016/17, when we won 3-0 at Goodison Park and 5-0 at the Bridge.

Graham Potter’s side are looking to keep three consecutive home clean sheets in all competitions for the first time since September 2021.

Dwight McNeil's opener against Brentford after 35 seconds was Everton's earliest Premier League goal since Tom Davies' strike against Leicester in April 2017 (30 seconds).

Everton kept four clean sheets in 20 Premier League games from August to January. Since the arrival of Sean Dyche as manager, they have kept three in seven games.

Dyche has picked up 10 points from his seven matches, which is 40 per cent of the Toffees total in 2022/23 (25).

Everton have failed to score in seven of their last nine away league games.

Since the Premier League resumption following the World Cup break, six of Everton's nine league goals have been scored from a set-piece (three corners, two penalties, one free-kick).

Chelsea stats

Everton are the last team to beat Chelsea in March in all competitions (2-0 in 2019). Since then, we have won 16 and drawn one of our matches in the third month of the year.

Our win at Leicester ended a run of eight Premier League away games without a victory and was our first win on the road since a 2-0 victory over Aston Villa in October 2022. It was the first time we scored three away goals in the competition since a 3-0 win at Leeds in May 2022.

Mateo Kovacic was our 14th different Premier League scorer this season. No side has had more (Arsenal also 14).

Chelsea milestones

If selected, Ben Chilwell will make his 50th Premier League appearance for the club.

Kovacic’s goal at Leicester was our 2,000th in the Premier League. We are the fourth side to reach that milestone in the competition, joining Man Utd, Arsenal and Liverpool.

Kepa Arrizabalaga made his 150th appearance for the club in all competitions at the King Power last week.

Everton stats

No side has scored fewer Premier League goals than Everton (20) this season (the same as Wolves and Southampton).

Everton have not won any of their past 11 Premier League away games against London sides (three draws, eight defeats), and have not scored in each of the last four.

The Toffees have lost 14 Premier League games this season, behind only Southampton (17) and Leicester (16).

Everton’s one league win on the road this term came at Southampton in October. Since then, they have drawn at Fulham, Man City and Nottingham Forest, and lost at Tottenham, Newcastle, Bournemouth, West Ham, Liverpool and Arsenal.

Everton are the seventh side in Premier League history to win a game 1-0 (v Brentford last week) with the winning goal being scored in the first minute. They are the first team to do so since November 2016.

The Toffees have dropped 15 points from winning positions this season. From the 12 games they were leading they went on to lose three and draw three.
