Chelsea host Liverpool in Women's Super League action at Kingsmeadow as we look to build upon last Sunday's win at Tottenham.

That victory at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium came courtesy of goals from Keira Walsh and Alyssa Thompson, leaving us third in the WSL table, one point behind Manchester United and nine points adrift of leaders Manchester City.

The top of the table is looking increasingly tight, as Arsenal sit just one point behind us in fourth. This makes Sunday's clash with Liverpool another pivotal fixture in the campaign, with just six matches remaining.

The form

After suffering defeats to Arsenal and Manchester City, Sonia Bompastor's side returned to winning ways last weekend with the 2-0 win over Tottenham.

Meanwhile, Liverpool earned their first WSL victory of the season on 25 January, and followed that up with an impressive 4-1 victory over Aston Villa last weekend. That said, the Reds still sit second from bottom of the table, just one point above 12th-placed Leicester City.

Recent head-to-head

Chelsea have enjoyed good results against Liverpool under Bompastor's tenure. Three wins last season in all competitions were followed up in the current campaign with a 1-1 draw in league action away from home, before the aforementioned 9-1 Women's League Cup victory in December.
