The Blues return to top-flight action sitting sixth in the Premier League table, one point behind Liverpool in fifth.

Following Arsenal’s Champions League quarter-final first leg victory over Sporting CP on Tuesday, it has been confirmed that the Premier League will have at least five teams in the Champions League next season after securing a European Performance Spot for the second year running.

Chelsea vs Man City head-to-head

In the reverse fixture between Manchester City and Chelsea in January, we secured a point after a 94th-minute equaliser from Enzo Fernandez. Tijjani Reijnders had opened the scoring for the home side just before half-time.

In the all-time record between the two clubs, Chelsea have won twice the number of fixtures than City - 69 victories compared with 67. There have been 43 draws.

The Blues last win over City was in the Champions League final in Porto in May 2021. Our last league victory against City came earlier in the same month at the Etihad Stadium (2-1) when Hakim Ziyech and Marcos Alonso scored our goals.

Man City have won four of their last five Premier League games at Stamford Bridge. Our last home win against them was during the pandemic in June 2020, behind closed doors, when a Christian Pulisic goal and a Willian penalty secured the three points for Frank Lampard’s side.
