First-placed Chelsea take on second-placed Manchester United in the Women's Super League on Friday evening, in what is shaping up to be a fascinating clash between the two sides.
Sonia Bompastor remains unbeaten in domestic action since arriving at Chelsea, and has overseen four wins from four at the beginning of her second season in charge.
Meanwhile, Marc Skinner's Manchester United have also started well, having won three of their four matches in the WSL and taking a point at home to Arsenal to remain unbeaten.
Here's what you need to know ahead of Friday night's game...
When and where
We will take on Manchester United at the Progress With Unity Stadium on Friday 3 October, with kick-off scheduled for 7.30pm.
How to watch
The match will be shown live on BBC Three, BBC iPlayer, and the BBC Sport Website in the UK.
As always, you can follow minute-by-minute updates in our Manchester United vs Chelsea Match Centre on the official Chelsea website and app.
You can also follow through Chelsea Women’s social media channels on X, Facebook and Instagram.
The form
With a win on Friday night, we would become only the second team to win each of their opening five games in back-to-back Women’s Super League campaigns, having won our first nine matches in 2024/25. Arsenal are the only club to have done this, achieving the feat in three straight seasons between 2020 and 2023.
The Blues recorded 28 shots with 12 of those on target in our 4-0 win against West Ham United last weekend, with the latter figure the most in a WSL game under Bompastor.
Meanwhile, Manchester United have conceded just once in their opening four league games this season, the fewest of any side, and have faced the fewest shots on target in the WSL with eight.
Recent head-to-head
Chelsea completed the double over Marc Skinner's side last season, with two 1-0 wins in the WSL. The latter of those saw us secure the WSL title with two games to spare. We also faced Manchester United in the final match of 2024/25, when we won the Women's FA Cup with a 3-0 win over our rivals.
In fact, Manchester United have lost 10 of their 11 WSL meetings with Chelsea, with the only exception a 1-1 draw in September 2020.
Chelsea have inflicted at least twice as many defeats on Manchester United in the WSL than any other team (10), as well as having scored the most goals against the Red Devils in the league (29).
