Chelsea are back in Premier League action after our midweek European drama for our sixth and final London derby of January. Here are all the vital facts and figures ahead of West Ham United's visit to Stamford Bridge.

The Premier League reaches its 24th round of fixtures with Chelsea in fifth place on 37 points, one point behind fourth-place Manchester United. West Ham currently occupy one of the relegation places, with 20 points, five fewer than Nottingham Forest, who are fourth from bottom.

Head-to-head

The Blues are seeking a sixth consecutive home league victory against the Hammers for the first time in our history. Chelsea have won eight of our past 11 Premier League meetings with West Ham (two defeats, one draw).

West Ham last came away from Stamford Bridge with three points in November 2019, when Aaron Cresswell scored the only goal just after half-time. That is their only Premier League victory at the Bridge in their last 19 visits (14 defeats, four draws).

Chelsea have scored 109 goals in 59 Premier League games against West Ham, our second-highest tally against an opponent, after Tottenham Hotspur (122 goals in 67 games).

The Blues won this season's reverse fixture 5-1 at the London Stadium in August, thanks to goals from Joao Pedro, Pedro Neto, Enzo Fernandez, Moises Caicedo and Trevoh Chalobah.

Chelsea stats

Only Manchester City (47), Arsenal (42) and Manchester United (41) have scored more Premier League goals this season than Chelsea (39). Only Arsenal (17) and Manchester City (21) have conceded fewer Premier League goals than Chelsea (25).

Since the start of last season, Chelsea have lost just one London derby in the Premier League at Stamford Bridge (five wins, four draws), a 2-1 defeat to Fulham on Boxing Day 2024.

The average age of Chelsea’s starting XI in the Premier League this season is 24 years and 215 days, the youngest in the division.

Chelsea have won both of our league matches under Liam Rosenior. Only three English managers have ever won their first three Premier League games – Bobby Gould (Coventry City) in August 1992, Sam Allardyce (Bolton Wanderers) in August 2001 and Craig Shakespeare (Leicester City) in April 2017.

Joao Pedro is the fifth Chelsea player to have scored in a manager’s first two Premier League games, joining Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink under Claudio Ranieri, Deco under Luiz Felipe Scolari, Diego Costa under Antonio Conte and Pedro under Maurizio Sarri.

Estevao Willian (18 years, 276 days) is the second-youngest Chelsea player to score and assist in a Premier League match, and youngest since Neil Shipperley (18 years, 164 days) against Wimbledon in April 1993. Estevao has now scored six goals for Chelsea, the joint-most by any player while aged 18 or under for the club in the Premier League era, alongside Callum Hudson-Odoi and Marc Guiu.
