Sonia Bompastor and Aggie Beever-Jones have been shortlisted for the September Women's Super League Manager and Player of the Month awards following the Blues' 100 per cent start to the new campaign.
We began the new season with a victory over fellow title hopefuls Manchester City at Stamford Bridge. Beever-Jones opened the scoring in that 2-0 win, producing a deft touch over goalkeeper Ayaka Yamashita from an Ellie Carpenter cross.
In our first match on the road against Aston Villa, Beever-Jones converted a close-range header from another Carpenter cross to break the deadlock. Further goals from Keira Walsh and Sam Kerr ensured three points were claimed.
A Beever-Jones' goal was the difference between Chelsea and Leicester City in our 1-0 win over the Foxes at Kingsmeadow, and we followed that with a dominant performance away to West Ham United.
A sublime Beever-Jones free-kick from almost 30 yards opened the scoring for the Blues, and Johanna Rytting Kaneryd, Erin Cuthbert and Wieke Keptein were also on the scoresheet.
Voting for the WSL is now open and will close on Monday 6th October. Winners will be announced on Thursday 9th October.
