Sam Kerr's record-equalling strike against Manchester United on the final day of the Women's Super League campaign has been voted as our Constant Contact Goal of the Month for May!
It was fitting that the Australian signed off her Chelsea career in the way she knows best, after scoring 116 times in her 158 appearances in Blue.
The goal came in front of our supporters at Stamford Bridge and was truly memorable, as Lauren James played a delicious ball from the right-hand touchline into the box and Kerr met the cross perfectly, scooping a wonderful volley into the roof of the net.
Kerr had already become our Women's Super League record goalscorer away at Leicester City earlier in the month, and with that strike against Man United, she equalled Fran Kirby as our club record scorer in all competitions with 116.
Our supporters voted Kerr's strike in first position with 32 per cent of the vote, while Lauren James' curling effort at Leicester City came in second with 23 per cent, and her free-kick against the Foxes took the final podium position with 21 per cent.
Congratulations, Sam!
