After converting two crucial penalties and contributing with some excellent performances during the month, Sandy Baltimore has been voted Chelsea Women's October Player of the Month by supporters.

The France international played every minute of our hard-earned 1-1 draw away at Manchester United at the start of the month, putting nine crosses into the box and completing 93.8 per cent of her 16 passes in the final third.

Also working hard in the defensive phase of the game, she claimed back possession on seven occasions and won six of seven total duels in this tough encounter away from home.

Baltimore kept her nerve in the 71st minute of our opening Women’s Champions League match of the season at FC Twente, converting a penalty which evened up the scores and earned us an important 1-1 draw.

When we faced Paris FC at Stamford Bridge in European action on October 15, it was the wing-back who once again scored from the penalty spot to open the scoring in our dominant 4-0 victory.

These performances saw Baltimore earn 39 per cent of the total votes, with Erin Cuthbert, Alyssa Thompson and Keira Walsh all tied for second place with 19 per cent each.

Congratulations, Sandy!
