Chelsea will kick off our 2026/27 Carabao Cup campaign with a round-two tie against Luton Town.

The draw for the second round of this season's League Cup was held on Monday evening, with Chelsea one of 11 Premier League teams entering the competition at this stage.

The Blues have been handed a home tie against League One side Luton for our first League Cup tie of the season as we begin our attempts to lift the trophy for the sixth time in our history.

This is the fifth time we will be facing Luton in the last five years. After beating the Hatters in consecutive years in the FA Cup in 2021 and 2022, we then did the double over Luton during their solitary season in the Premier League during the 2023/24 campaign.

Luton then suffered consecutive relegations to slip into League One before missing out on the play-offs last time out by just one point.

The second round draw saw teams split into northern and southern ties. The fixtures will be played during the week beginning Monday 24 August, and further fixture details and ticket information will be announced in due course.
