Former Chelsea forward Fran Kirby tops the list of our all-time record assist makers in the Women's Super League era, but Guro Reiten is rapidly closing in on the number one spot.

Before the start of the 2025/26 campaign, Reiten sat just one assist behind Kirby, and the pair had played the same number of games for Chelsea.

Erin Cuthbert is also challenging for the record, with just five assists fewer than her Norwegian team-mate. Here, we have compiled a list of the top ten Blues assist makers in the Women's Super League since 2012.

Fran Kirby - 33 (109 games)

With over 200 appearances for Chelsea, Kirby was pivotal to our success under Emma Hayes during the attacker's nine years with the club.

The former England international won the Women's Super League title seven times in a blue shirt, as well as having lifting five FA Cup and two League Cup trophies during her silverware-laden spell.

In addition to 57 goals in the Women's Super League, Kirby provided the crucial assist to a Chelsea team-mate on 33 occasions, and was voted WSL player of the season in 2020/21.

During her time at Chelsea, she also won the UEFA Women's European Championship with England in 2022, before departing the club to join Brighton & Hove Albion two years later.

Guro Reiten - 32 (109 games)

Reiten joined Chelsea from Norwegian side LSK Kvinner ahead of the 2019/20 campaign, having only ever played domestic football in her home country.

Yet that mattered little as the versatile attacker burst onto the scene in the Women's Super League, quickly becoming a fan's favourite as she constantly threatened the opposition goal.

In the 2022/23 season, Reiten contributed 11 assists in addition to her tally of nine goals, as we went on to win a league and cup double by the end of that campaign.

By the end of the 2024/25 domestic Treble-winning season, the Norway international added 37 WSL goals to her total of 32 assists, demonstrating her prowess in the final third of the pitch.

Erin Cuthbert - 27 (145 games)

Known for her relentless work ethic, Cuthbert joined Chelsea as a teenager in 2017 and will begin her 10th season with the club at the start of the 2025/26 campaign.

During that time, she has already won eight WSL titles, as well as five FA Cup trophies and three League Cup wins in a blue shirt.

Named Player of the Season in our domestic Treble-winning campaign, Cuthbert also signed a new deal with the Blues in March 2025, keeping the dynamic midfielder at the club until at least 2027.

Also appearing in the list of top 10 WSL goalscorers with 31 strikes in her 145 matches, the Scotland international is among our all-time assist makers with 27, making 58 total goal involvements in league action.

Ji So-Yun - 25 (117 games)

Another player who makes the list of top WSL goalscorers and assist makers is Ji, who won six league titles with Chelsea before departing for Suwon in 2022.

As part of that run, she assisted her team-mates on 25 occasions, becoming a crucial part of Hayes' side.

Ji was the first South Korean player to appear in the WSL, and at the end of her first season in blue, she was named the league's Player of the Year and the PFA Players’ Player of the Year.

Bethany England - 20 (93 games)

Some strikers are known only for finding the back of the net, but England's record for Chelsea shows that she also created chances for others, in addition to scoring herself.

Sitting third on our list of top WSL goalscorers, the former Blues forward registered 20 assists in 93 matches during her time at the club, leaving her mark in the history books before her departure in 2023.

Sam Kerr - 20 (75 games)

Another forward who has contributed both goals and assists to our success-laden WSL record is Kerr. Top of the tree in terms of league goals since 2012, she also has set up her team-mates on 20 separate occasions during that period.

After missing the entire 2024/25 campaign through injury, the Australia international can only add to her already impressive tally in the months to come.

Karen Carney - 18 (38 games)

A legendary Chelsea captain, Carney won the Player of the Year award in her first season in blue and, despite injury, was still instrumental in our league and cup Double during the 2017/18 campaign.

During her time with us, Carney was also awarded an OBE in 2017 for services to football, recognising her outstanding contribution to the women's game.

Johanna Rytting Kaneryd - 13 (60 games)

Since joining Chelsea in 2022, Rytting Kaneryd has been terrorising defences down the right wing, and this is reflected in her assist contributions over 60 WSL matches for the club.

2025/26 will see the Sweden international begin her fourth season in blue, and her assist tally can only continue to grow from this point.

Niamh Charles - 13 (88 games)

Getting forward has become a key part of the game for a modern wing-back, and Charles has done just that since joining Chelsea in 2020.

Weighing in with 13 assists after 88 WSL matches, the England international has helped out in attack alongside her regular defensive duties.

Charles has won the WSL in all five of her seasons with the club, adding four FA Cup trophies and three League Cup wins to her impressive list of honours, which also includes winning the Women's European Championship with England in 2025.

Sophie Ingle - 13 (123 games)

After 214 total appearances, 12 goals, and 11 trophies with Chelsea, Ingle left the club at the end of the 2024/25 campaign.

Her contribution to our midfield was invaluable and saw her provide 13 assists in WSL action over the course of two separate spells in a blue shirt.

The Wales international showed elite leadership skills on and off the pitch, contributing to five WSL wins during her time at Chelsea.
