Today’s Play Predictor guest, former Chelsea defender Gary Chivers, has backed the Blues to keep our impressive run going with another win and clean sheet in the Champions League.

This season Blues fans can compete with our guests and each other while testing their knowledge in our Play Predictor game on The 5th Stand app. The game is available to play for every Chelsea fixture, including domestic and European cup matches, and there’s the chance to win incredible prizes throughout the season.

Our guest pundit on Play Predictor for tonight’s Champions League tie away in France against Rennes is former Chelsea defender Gary Chivers, who made 148 appearances for the Blues in the late Seventies and Eighties.

Chivers is clearly impressed by what he has seen from the Blues’ current crop of defenders. We are yet to concede a goal in the Champions League this season and he is predicting that we will keep our seventh clean sheet in eight games, while a certain high-scoring German will add to the two goals he netted the last time we faced Rennes.

‘This is going to be a tough game,’ said Chivers. ‘We won the first leg 3-0 but I’m predicting that we’re going to win 2-0 away from home. I think Timo Werner is on fire at the moment, so I’m going for him to score the first goal.’
