Emma Hayes has confirmed that she has a fully fit squad to choose from ahead of Saturday’s WSL clash with Leicester at the King Power Stadium.

The Chelsea Women’s head coach confirmed the news at her pre-match press conference at Cobham, with only long-term absentee Pernille Harder unavailable for selection.

‘We’re looking good for the weekend, I think we’ve got a full quota to choose from,’ Hayes stated at her pre-match press conference ahead of our WSL clash with Leicester.

‘Pernille is the only one out and otherwise we have a full squad available.’

Hayes was asked how Harder was doing following surgery on a hamstring injury and to give an update on when we may see the Dane return to the pitch.

‘The good news with Pernille is that her operation was a success,’ added Emma.

It was certainly a difficult first week for her, dealing with the reality of the injury and how difficult that was for her physically.

‘She’s had lunch with the girls, she’s doing her rehab now and starting her treatment so she’s on the road to recovery and that’s great news.

'We will support her and let her take as long as she needs without putting any pressure on a timeframe to be back. Like with any injury, you can have a plan for it and then things just change course.

'It won’t be this side of Christmas and I doubt it will be January. Is February realistic? Maybe but I think it will be longer than that

'We hope she will be back before the end of the season but we have to realise that there’s a lot of work to be done before then and we must give her time.'
