Cole Palmer has been named in the FIFA Best Men’s XI at today’s awards ceremony in Qatar, with our attacker’s brilliant performances between August 2024 and August 2025 recognised on the global stage.
Palmer's second season at Stamford Bridge proved as captivating as his first. He produced several outstanding displays, such as when he became the first player in Premier League history to score four goals in the first half of a game in our 4-2 victory against Brighton and Hove Albion at Stamford Bridge.
Palmer also played an instrumental part as we lifted two trophies this summer. In the UEFA Conference League final, he was named Player of the Match after creating two goals to help us overturn a deficit and run out 4-1 winners.
Less than two months later, in the Club World Cup final against Paris Saint-Germain, Palmer was central to the Blues being crowned world champions. He scored twice against the Ligue 1 giants and fashioned a goal for Joao Pedro to ensure we lifted the trophy in New York. Palmer was named the Player of the Match and also picked up the Golden Ball, given to the tournament’s best player.
Palmer has been named in the FIFA Best Men’s XI alongside Gianluigi Donnarumma, Achraf Hakimi, William Pacho, Virgil van Dijk, Nuno Mendes, Jude Bellingham, Vitinha, Pedri, Lamine Yamal, Ousmane Dembele. Dembele took the main prize.
Congratulations, Cole, on your latest award!
