Cole Palmer has been nominated for the 2025 FIFPRO Men’s World 11, which is voted for by professional footballers from all over the globe.
Palmer’s performances over the course of the 2024/25 season have been recognised by his peers, with his name featuring on the 26-man shortlist.
It was another stellar campaign for Palmer during which he registered 32 goal contributions (18 goals and 14 assists) across 52 appearances in all competitions.
That included some big performances on the big occasions, with an excellent showing in the UEFA Conference League final preceding two brilliant goals and the creation of our third in the 3-0 win over Paris Saint-Germain in the FIFA Club World Cup final. He was awarded the Golden Ball as the competition's best player.
The FIFPRO World XI will be announced on Monday 3 November, with Palmer hoping to feature in it for the first time having previously been on the shortlist.
An initial 26-person squad reveals the nominees and is whittled down to 11. The goalkeeper, as well as the three defenders, three midfielders and three forwards who receive the most votes are selected, with the remaining spot assigned to the outfield player with the next highest number of votes who is not selected already.
Players must have appeared in at least 30 official matches in the period of 15 July 2024 to 3 August 2025 to be eligible.
Chelsea players have made the team on 14 occasions in the 20 years it has been running, with John Terry featuring no fewer than five times.
